What book did John Maxwell's CEO, Mark Cole recommend I read?

I recently had the honor of speaking at the UW-Madison Women & Leadership Symposium in Madison, WI. It was an amazing day filled with women in leadership roles who were influencing the outcomes of top organizations and making impactful change happen.

About a year ago I thought about the possibility of someday speaking at a conference like this, but I was just finishing my first book, Life Under Construction: designing a life you love. I hoped that I would have a message that would resonate with this audience. I was so excited when I was chosen to be a speaker. The other women at this conference were Deans of Colleges, leading innovative research, and high caliber women in business and government.

After the event I had the opportunity to speak to the organizer of the event and I learned about what she was trying to do for women in leadership roles. Her goal was to spread leadership lessons to every woman that was seeking to further their leadership skills and abilities professionally.

I decided to ask my mentor Mark Cole, CEO of John C. Maxwell's companies what he would recommend to lift up women as leaders.

First off he said that he believed that women are amazing leaders. Women leaders are able to influence, have emotional intelligence, persist, and possess the tenacity to get things done in business, education, healthcare, and any organization. I agreed. :)

Then he recommended one of John Maxwell's books called, Becoming a Person of Influence. This book outlines the steps to take in order to gain more influence in any organization.

Here is a description of the book:

America's leadership expert teaches that if your life in any way connects with other people, you are an influencer. Whatever your vocation or aspiration is, you can increase your impact with Maxwell's simple, insightful ways to interact more positively with others. Watch your personal and organizational success go off the charts!

If you have an organization or business that may want to dive deeper into this book to learn the critical principles needed to become a person of influence feel free to connect with me, as I am certified to teach this content from John Maxwell. I'm able to provide lunch and learns, virtual masterminds, and trainings related to this topic.

Make today amazing!
