How do I relax?

I’m a type A person, so relaxing can be difficult for me because I like to plan out my relaxation time. Thankfully, God had me marry a really laid back man named Tony. How do I practice gratitude…even on the bad days?

I’m a pretty optimistic person. Every day I wake up and think to myself, “another great day in paradise, let’s do this!”

 I understand that not everybody wakes up like this and I didn’t wake up like this for many years. Then I started to practice gratitude daily and it completely changed my attitude toward life.

Trust me, there are still those days when I get frustrated or overwhelmed. I actually am having days where I’m pushed to make more decisions and bigger decisions that will impact many more people than every before. I don’t take the responsibility I have lightly, so yes, there can be tough days.

You get one body for your entire life. That’s it. I find too often that people do not understand this fact of life until it’s too late.

After my daughter, Avery was born I decided to start leading a healthier lifestyle because I wanted to be around for my children until I was 150 years old. I figured I better start eating healthier and exercising if I wanted that goal to happen.
